I was very surprised to find a huge amount of high quality hip hop art throughout Medellin. Despite all this art, Medellin still has a very organized and clean feeling. The artists here seem to respect each other’s art and don’t paint over it or tag on top of it. In fact, there’s not as much tagging in general as one might expect in a city of this size.

At Medellin’s Museum of Modern Art, located at one end of Parque Ciudad del Rio, you will find many works by Medellin’s best known modern artists.

Part of Parque Ciudad del Rio in Medellin (River City Park), the Urban Art Gallery is a very long set of amazing spray paint artworks by Narkografika.

This long wall is next to the Museum of Modern Art, which has a very nice cafe, as well as a skatepark and a rock-climbing wall.
